Hi, I’m Sydney.
I’m Sydney Smith, founder of Light Tutoring Co. and a former NYC public school teacher with a master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University.
I founded Light because I believe exceptional teaching begins with truly knowing a child. My goal is to pair expert, individualized instruction with the warmth, encouragement, and joy that help students believe in themselves as learners.
